solidThinking to Highlight Newly Released Software at EuroMold 2009 Dec. 2-5 in Frankfurt

Visit booth L128 in Hall 8 to see solidThinking 8.0 and solidThinking 8.0 InspiredTM in action TROY, Mich. – Nov. 15, 2009 – Leading concept-design software developer solidThinking, Inc. (http://www.solidthinking.com) will demonstrate the advanced features of its latest software at the EuroMold 2009 world trade fair. Held Dec. 2-5 at the Exhibition Center in Frankfurt, Germany, EuroMold “From Design to Prototyping to Series Production,” is an international conference intended to close the gap between industrial designers, product developers, producers, suppliers and end-users.

solidThinking will exhibit the new and enhanced features of its version 8.0 software in Hall 8 at booth L128 alongside its German reseller, work@solution (http://www.work-solution.de). Attendees will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of solidThinking’s new morphogenesis technology. A key innovation in solidThinking 8.0 Inspired, morphogenesis draws on the principles of biomimicry to allow users to explore and experiment with their designs using form generation.

"EuroMold is the most important trade show of the year for us and we are very pleased to have our partner solidThinking and its design experts at our booth to present their products with us,” said Frank Debacher, managing director at work@solutions. "With the addition of solidThinking, we are now able to present our customers with solutions that address the full product development process chain – from concept design studies to prototyping. This clearly underlines our mutual commitment to a complete solution."

solidThinking’s NURBS-based 3D conceptual design software aims to encourage innovation in industrial designers and architects through a number of advanced features, including a highly intuitive user interface; a best-in-class ConstructionTree technology that allows designers to experiment in real time without having to start from scratch when they change their minds; and high-quality real-time photorealistic imaging capabilities for realistic design visualization. And with solidThinking Inspired, users have the capability to run morphogenesis form-generation technology to grow efficient shapes in response to environmental forces and pressures.

“One of solidThinking’s key differentiators is its ability to invite and encourage creative design exploration without sacrificing compatibility or collaboration with industrial designers’ engineering partners,” said Alex Mazzardo, vice president of product strategy and marketing for solidThinking. “Product development teams seeking to reduce the number of physical prototypes and design reinterpretations between designers and engineers will find that solidThinking will help them increase efficiency, boost productivity and improve overall product value. Our exhibition at EuroMold will offer designers from all over the world the opportunity to experience firsthand the advanced capabilities and benefits of solidThinking 8.0 and solidThinking 8.0 Inspired.”

Thousands of designers have used solidThinking to develop products and packaging for companies and brands known worldwide, and it has been instrumental to many of the world's leading designers of furniture, electronic devices, automobiles, lighting, shoes, jewelry, timepieces, sports equipment, boating, consumer packaging, and other products. solidThinking is available for both Windows and Mac operating systems and is compatible with leading computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE) software, encouraging improved collaboration between industrial designers and engineers during the product development cycle.

EuroMold gives attendees the opportunity to experience solutions to fit the entire product development process chain. It showcases companies and technologies that exhibit methods for quicker, more economical and more efficient development and production of new products.
